There are several strategies for family caregivers. Family members can share their responsibilities with other family members, relatives, or friends. We can recommend them to consider facility-based care. Some family members feel guilty and have a social stigma associated with the use of facilities due to the expectation from the view of Confucianism (Chee & Levkoff, 2001). We can explain that the use of facilities for providing care is not unethical; the use of facilities is beneficial when it comes to the importance of maintaining positive feelings, being emotionally and mentally healthy, and keeping a balance between their autonomous lives and the obligations as a caregiver. Using facility-based care can be considered having social support, which can be helpful for caregivers’ psychological health. We should educate family caregivers to have a positive perception of the use of facilities at a societal level. Further studies using a rigorous design or method can explore how to support them by suggesting more coping strategies and the effectiveness of those
