Communication skills represent a pivotal requirement that must be taken into consideration by the team to make the decision. In order to perform well in this job, the country manager should be able to effectively communicate with each of the company’s stakeholders across India. Despite being able to speak English or the native language of India, it does not indicate that there is an understanding of the behaviours and social norms. Cultural and social interests are more important than language proficiency since it will be the main drive for a leader to learn about the new working environment and be more willing to adapt to the culture. These two criteria would create a strong understanding of the company’s culture, which would effectively turn into an understanding of their ethics and standards of quality. A candidate that possessed these trains would allow them to be effective in a high-level position, specifically the Indian country manager.
On the other hand, as stated in the next pages, spouse support is going to play a critical role in the evaluation of one of the 5 candidates’ profiles. This criterion is considered to be the most important factors for future success for expatriates, we consider it not to be the most important one but to still play a large role in the selection process (Selmer, 2001).
Finally, our team believed other factors such as children family ties, vacations abroad and the sickness record to be less important for the decision. Those criteria are clearly relevant in whichever job position, going against the expert’ opinion, those did not rank as a priority in our screening

She is intelligent, authentic and has acquired in-depth business management knowledge due to the completion of MBA Degree at Northeastern University. In practice, Navithar has been a reliable and effective leader. She has led both the supply chain and customer service departments which demonstrate her strong communication, business, and technical skills. Moreover, she has risen to these leadership roles quickly and effectively which can also indicate her strong accountability and high need for achievement. On the other hand, Navithar is capable of speaking English, Hindi, and Telugu which are the prominent languages that Indians speak. The language fluency can support her quickly adapt to the local culture. Navithar has also shown her strong cultural and social interests in the Indian market due to her short-term international projects in the Indian subsidiary specifically. With both the positive comments and impressions from Xiao Zhang who is the former country manager for India and the personal reflection, we can also conclude that she is a greatly extroverted and sociable person with high interpersonal sensitivity. In terms of her family, she also enjoys the full support of her spouse. Her husband has a joint appointment at the Delhi University which increases the chance that they can quickly adapt
