Many people disagree with our protest. It is making people whom support the military react in a negative way. It is drawing a line between white and black americans. Colin started this movement with only the best intentions. Eric Reid states that he will not just sit there and watch injustices and do nothing. He stated that “it baffles me that our movement is still being misconstrued as disrespect to our country , flag and military personnel. We could make a more powerful and positive impact on social justice movement” There are viral videos of people burning jersey’s and season tickets and various other merchandise items. It isn't our country's fault that people get shot, it's either that cop individually murdered someone and or the suspect had a weapon and pulled it out in a negative manner. Me personally I don't get bothered by stuff like this but sitting during the national anthem every week to me it's just weekly disrespect to our country, I understand where they are coming from but what's the goal? They sit weekly with no outcome for the year that they have been sitting is just despicable nothing has even happened yet. From august of 2016 there has been many people that have sat because of murder during the national anthem, but since they have started sitting there has been no result from the protest.
