Being the daughter of King Ptolemy XII was hard enough, but when Cleopatra’s father passed, she had to marry her brother Ptolemy the XIII. She was born in 69 B.C. it was a very special occasion, because she was the first child. Cleopatra was driven out of Egypt by her brother, so she retreated to Rome. Cleopatra just had to make a big entrance into Rome, with dancers and show people. She was a friend to Caesar, because of her father worked with Caesar. Over time their relationship grew and they became more than friends, it even got to the point where she had a child with him. With Caesar’s help she was able to get her kingdom back, but at her sibblings cost. She ruled over with her son when he was born. On a trip to Rome

Caesar sent his army to conquered Egypt for her, that made the Roman army and her army weaker by fighting a war. She killed her own brother, who her people loved and adored, just so she could rule with her son. Later she was the cause of Caesar's death, because so many people hated Caesar for putting Cleopatra above all else. Then after she fell for Mark Antony, she made him bring his army to Egypt to protect them from Roman’s who wanted her crown. NO! She sent and thousand year old civilization down in 20 years or so. If I were to compare her to or president today, I would have to say they are a lot different. Obama is trying to protect the United States of America the best he can, but Cleopatra did not care about Egypt as much as she did about her lovers. They both made there people pay taxes, but Obama gives them to people to pay for their jobs and lifestyle. Cleopatra would just use the money for her clothing and jewelry. Though I am not such a huge fan of Obama I would have to say I like him better that Cleopatra, because he at least cares about his
