Why Is Chivalry Still Alive

I believe chivalry is indeed still alive today. Looking around at people and their actions shows a lot daily. From people opening doors for each other to just simply saying “thank you” for someone doing something for you. Although chivalry is indeed alive today, It has changed In many ways and forms. Not only have the actions changed but people have also changed. Many things have happened over the years, from people's actions to the way they speak to each other. During the middle ages in England it was a dangerous place. At first it was a very isolated place until later it became more connected to the established global trade along the Silk Roads. The increase in trade connected Europe to places along the Silk Roads. This was initiated by non-Christian merchants. These non-Christian merchants were known as Jews and Muslims who lived in the Middle East at this time. I have not just witnessed this happening to myself but also to others around me. Walking through the hallways of the high school I see people opening doors for one-another. People say “thank you” for others doing nice things for them. People go through the day doing great things for others and never realize that this is truly chivalry still going on today. I have many reasons to believe that chivalry is still alive. One reason is people believe different than they did in the Middle Ages. In the Middle Ages they believed that being married at a young age perfectly fine. Being married at the age of fourteen was a very common event at this time. But, as of today being married that young is not a very common thing. People do wait to be married until they are older. Although, this isn’t very common in today’s time it does indeed still happen.
