Chivalry is defined by a combination of qualities that initially described the ideal knight; courageous, strong, and ready to assist and stand up for fellow people. As humanity progressed over the years, the term chivalry became less of describing a perfect knight and more of describing a kind and respectful human being who was truthful and honest. Sadly, in today’s society we have neither forms of chivalry. This is because of the rise of feminism and the rise of sexism; thus causing there to be very few chivalrous men in today's society.
In today's general public, self independence and pride has become very important to many different groups of people, one of these groups being women all over the world. This self independence, otherwise known as feminism, is a major player in the reason why chivalry has died. Many women still want men to be chivalrous, but they are discovering that few men with this trait still exist in today’s world due to various things like feminism. Today’s world has many women and girls looking for kind men that they can call their one and only and as said best in the__________ by ________ “every once in a while I will meet a guy and hope he is a my knight in shining armour, a man who would protect me with his life, one who would open the door for me, hold my hand and treat me like royalty. Unfortunately for me there is no such man in the modern world.” Within the community, there are few to no men that can set any sort of example for the ones around them and the generations behind them. Combine this with women now noticing that men are becoming less chivalrous makes chivalrous acts even less common than the people that perform
