Why Is Catch Me Wrong

In the movie “Catch me if you can” Frank Abagnale Jr. did some things that were not right. Even though some people may not agree with me, I think Frank Abagnale did not do the right thing. Foremost I believe what Frank did was wrong by lying to people about who he was and what he supposedly did in the past. Second, he emotionally abused people that he knew, in particular Brenda and Roger Strong. Most importantly, he stole money from the bank by cashing in fake cheques.

I believe, Frank Abagnale did not do the right thing by lying to people about who he was and what he did in the past. For example, Frank Abagnale lied about his occupations; doctor, lawyer, and a co-pilot. Frank Abagnale lied about being a co-pilot first, how he did that was

He did this to Carl Hanratty when Frank would always ask him personal questions about his family. For example Frank would always say to Carl why aren’t you with your family for christmas, why aren’t you wearing your wedding ring, You're wearing your wedding ring today but why did you not wear it yesterday. He did this because Carl would always want to take him in and Frank didn’t want him that, he would try to change the subject so Carle would stop talking about taking him in and saying to him that he would find him. Also Frank would go in a panic attack and had to come up with something to make him stop talking about it. Frank emotionally abused brenda, how he did this was he kept on telling her not to tell anyone about him and always saying to her do you love me and then saying if you love me you will not tell anyone about me. What Frank was doing was he would try to convince Brenda to not tell anyone about him, he would try to remind her that she does love him and wouldn’t do anything to get him arrested. Over all, you can tell that Frank did emotionally abuse people that he knows by constantly asking questions to them, or constantly telling them how they feel and making sure they wouldn’t tell anyone about

The Power and Control Wheel provides eight different behavioral categories that an abusive partner uses in order to keep all the power and control in the relationship (Robinson, 2013). To a person that has not experienced this type of relationship violence, these behavioral categories may be clear signs of abuse and need of help. However, these categories can often be unrecognizable and/or normal to a person experiencing them (Robinson, 2013). In Sipe’s (2013) book, “I am Not Your Victim”, each tactic is seen within Beth and Sam’s relationship. Beginning with the category of economic abuse, this tactic gives the abuser the control over the victim’s freedom and ability to support themselves (Robinson, 2013).…

In both of “The Banality of Heroism” and “The fair deserve the grape” slides, oppression is considered a major common problem. The history of the issue results in repetitive and social injustices in which both have been wide spread across the globe. However, these types of injustice mainly focus on age, racial backgrounds (Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, etc.) and specific gender quality (male or female). Even though these people respond to different types of oppression, the oppression, as you see here, is a common problem in both of these slides because it tries to gain the social and economic dominance from victims as well as inflicting pain towards them to get what the oppressors want.…

Lying often ends unethically, not only the can the lier be punished or feel guilty in the process, but it often goes further than anticipated. When looking back there seems to be more consequences on the result of the pretense than what the reward would have been if everything worked out and there was no lying. The Salem Witch Trials, the McCarthy Trials, and the McMartin Trials all proved that it is important to always be honest, regardless of the sacrifice.…
