Scout learned that Arthur Radley did learn his lesson and ended up to be a caregiver and more of a father figure, he watched over all the kids. “Boo doesn’t mean any harm” Scout says (pg, 341.)During the burning of Mrs. Mudy’s house Arthur went out and put a blanket on scout without her knowing, he left gifts in the tree for the children when they walked home, they found gum, pennies, two soup dolls and a broken watch and chain, and at the end of the book when Bob Ewell tried to kill the kids Arthur Radley saved them. Page 2 Arthur Radley was a caregiver at the end of the novel and was the opposite of what everyone thought, he didn’t leave his house because he had to, he didn’t leave because he wanted to he could have left but didn’t on his own terms, because the people to him would judge him, much like the tom Robinson trial, the only reason why he didn’t win was because Tom was black even when all evidence supported he was
