Why Is Bill Clinton A Good President

Bill Clinton’s father died before the future president was born (Jaber). After Bill Clinton graduated high school, he went to Georgetown University and majored in international relations while earning the Rhodes scholarship, the only president to do so (Jaber). He then accepted a scholarship to Yale University Law School and graduated from there in 1973. (Jaber) In 1978, he was elected governor of Arkansas and remained in that position for 15 years (Jaber) As stated in American Presidents Ranked by Performance, “While he was governor, Clinton became prominent nationally. Even though he was not a honest man, Bill Clinton was an effective president because of his foreign, domestic and social policies. When Bill Clinton came into office, America had an unemployment rate of 7% and they were also in a 327.3 billion dollar deficit (Jaber). Congress passed an economic stimulus package which brought the United States slightly out of recession but Clinton did not like how little it changed the economy (Jaber). He had an excellent way to fix the deficit within America and to form a relationship with the surrounding countries. He established NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) which promoted trade between Canada, America, and Mexico (Clinton 2015). In my opinion, he handled to deficit in America quite well, he knew exactly what to do
