Why Is Baseball Important To Me

I started playing soccer for my school in first grade and kept on playing till third grade when I stopped because I found a sport I felt was much more appealing to me in the way the game was played and the teamwork needed to play. It could also be fact that my dad told me I needed to play, which was fine because I wanted to play anyway. This sport is baseball, an All-American sport played by athletes who are not afraid to put themselves in front of a 100 mile per hour ball. Baseball takes a great amount of one specific skill, hand-eye coordination. This skill is very hard to master, but is wonderful once you have a good grip on it. I know baseball is not for some people, but it is an All-American sport and it is surely entertaining. I believe more people should give baseball some credit because it is a very hard sport to get decent and on top, be great at. All the years I have played baseball, ever single season someone tells me how I should stop playing because baseball is stupid and boring, and I get a bit offended by those statements because Baseball is a sport I like to play and it is amusing to me. I especially don’t appreciate when other people who don’t play the sport or even know anything about baseball, say those rude comments. I love baseball because it gives me an opportunity to forget about all the worries of my everyday life for a while and I get to spend an unknown amount of time with others who appreciate the same type of activities I do. Winning is amazing, obviously. But that's not why I have been playing baseball all these years.
