Two Australian Ballet Companies: Victorian State Ballet (VSB)

For this assignment, I have chosen two Australian ballet companies: the Victorian State Ballet (VSB) and the Queensland ballet (QB). I will discuss their specialization, history, location, purpose and next productions. After that, I am going to evaluate their websites. The main reason why I have chosen these two companies is that they are two vibrant ballet groups from the New South Wales’s adjacent states (Victoria and Queensland) and I wanted to learn more information concerning them.

Both the Victorian State Ballet (VSB) company and the Queensland Ballet (QB) are the most significant ballet companies today in their respective states. Charles Lisner OBE, who was also the artistic director from 1960 until 1974, established the QB in 1960. Li Cunxin has been the Artistic Director …show more content…
These images provide a useful insight into what an audience would see in each performance. There are not only images, but also useful and impressive compilation videos about antique spectacles. On the contrary, the VSB one (http://www.victorianstateballet.com.au/), although its cover photographs are slightly worse and not as breathtaking as the QB’s ones, its ‘gallery’ link offers shallow and limited images, as well as confusing ones, due to the fact that you can hardly guess to which production belongs each one. Additionally, there are no videos on it, unlike the QB
