Every angle he came from he exposed the town to the truth. A sense of change of mind could be felt arising throughout the courtroom as the day went on.
As the trial came to an end everyone in the courtroom knew that Tom Robinson was an innocent man. In a usual accusation of a black man the jury wouldn’t have any second thoughts of throwing the man in jail, but this one shook the town. Hours went by as the jury was making their crucial decision that would change a man’s life forever. Though the towns mind had changed Tom Robinson still pleaded guilty. This wasn’t because they believed he was, the jury members were scared for their own lives if they said he was innocent.
As a result of these events an innocent man ended up losing his life. Atticus, along with many other people were stunned and disappointed, but he knew nothing else could be done to save Tom.
