AP Chemistry has made me realize that you need to work hard for the things you want. AP Chemistry is by far the hardest class I have ever taken. It was full of hard concepts and ideas that I could not seem to understand. Most times, I stayed up studying for tests until three in the morning. My teacher had tests that were based on past AP exams and in order to reach the highest score, a five, you usually needed to get a minimum percentage of seventy percent. Luckily, he usually curved the scores but there was one kid that seemed to almost always get a near perfect score. His tests were the toughest I have ever taken. I had to study for hours to get a good grade. I also spent hours upon hours on lab reports; once, I spent six hours on one lab

Any course with the designation “AP” sounded challenging, but an intensified class like AP Biology sounded more challenging, due to its extensive lab reports and difficult scientific concepts. Taking AP Biology felt like being a doctor, wearing a lab coat or writing a report for every lab we experimented with. AP Biology not only covered the human body at a molecular level, but also provided me the experience of what working in a lab truly felt like. The experience and the class fascinated me and helped me gain some practical experience with tools such as centrifuges or micropipettes. Like AP Biology, Anatomy/Physiology also provided me with lab experience in dissecting various organisms.…

One thing that this ACA-122 class has taught me is how to email somebody properly; such as a professor, teacher, or anyone really. It’s impacted me because I had questions and had to email someone, but I didn’t know the correct format and how. The second thing is time management. Yes, you will have a ton of assignments due, but you have at least three weeks to do it for ACA. It impacted me because I do procrastinate and if you do that, it can be a problem for ACA.…

We had to wait two to three weeks for a small group of people to read every child in our grades paper, grade it and send it back. If you failed you get to do the whole process over again. After the two to three weeks our teacher handed us each an envelope with our results inside. Everyone in the room was an absolute wreck hoping they passed. I ripped open my envelope and looked at my results and I saw I had received a 80/100.…

I will be taking general chemistry and biology—both are the foundation of their field. When I master the material taught in those classes, I will be better prepared for my future courses in chemistry and biology. Since I was in elementary school, my father emphasized the importance of understanding the material rather than just knowing and getting the correct answer. I followed his advice, but I did not actually see the difference between knowing and understanding until spring 2014.…

I showed up anxious, the palms of my hands became sweaty and tacky. I took a seat with my classmates a couple feet away and began to take the test. I applied what I was taught in class into my knowledge. The grade scale of the assessment was a one through five, one being the lowest grade and five being the highest. It took at least three months until I was given my final grade.…

I decided to enroll in AP Government and Economics it is the class that has the most utility for me. Starting towards the middle of freshman year in Honors Global History, I thought going into a higher history class was a good idea, so I decided to enroll in AP US History, which was one of the better decisions in my life. That class was a good experience so I wanted to take AP again in junior year. There are multiple benefits that drove me to make this decision; the first is content. In every single class in school (maybe except for math), I want to learn the most about that subject so AP would provide the huge benefit of having the most content so I would learn the most about the government and macroeconomics.…

My Junior year of high school was my challenging year, the reason to that is because we had to study for our Act also we had our grad MCAs to take. I must say it was really difficult knowing that we had those two big major tests in the same week. The amount of studying was ridiculous but in my head for a whole two months I was reminding myself that it will benefit me in the future that I need this to graduate. One part I didn 't have to worry was a portion of the MCA like the Algebra part. But the part that was extremely hard for me was geometry.…
