Animal testing is not only harmful to the animals, but cruel. In the article Results from Research on Animals Are Not Valid When Applied to Humans, it says, “animals in laboratories are frequently treated as objects that can be manipulated at will, with little value for their lives beyond the cost of purchase.” this shows that the animals that are being tested are treated with disrespect, and are not properly cared for. Another reason that it is cruel is that “In most cases, researchers attempt to minimize the pain and distress experienced by animals in laboratories, but suffering is nonetheless inherent as animals are held in sterile, isolated cages, forced to suffer disease and injury, or euthanised at the end of the study.” as stated in the same …show more content…
