Some other types of abuse is animal fighting, animal testing, and animal slaughtering. But if animal abuse is so wrong then why does it still exist? What is even worse about animal abuse is some people don't even know the signs of animal abuse. Reasons why people abandoned their animals range from the place they live at, a personal issue, or they simply just don’t want their animal anymore. While an abandoned animal is living on the streets they have no one to depend on but themselves. And then animals that live on the streets also have a higher risk of developing a disease. Also the animals that live out on the streets go untreated for any diseases they have or cancer. The animal also ends up breeding with other animals producing offspring that no one wants. And when that happens the animals that get caught by the animal police get taken to a shelter causing an overpopulation. And it is really sad that some of the signs of animal abuse go unnoticed. So why is animal abuse still around today? Animal abuse is still around today because there is still no clear evidence that it goes on. But somehow the process which animals go through that are slaughtered for food is humane. And animal fighting that still continues today is against the law and is in fact illegal. Abandoning animals and leaving them out on the streets is so wrong, especially since they depend on their owner to get them food and water and shelter, also protection. Then you have the animal testing that takes place. Scientists are torturing innocent animals by doing all these different kinds of test, chemicals that aren't even meant to be consumed, soaps and perfumes, and especially drugs. Some of the animals could be immune to the medicine and it not affect them at all but hurt humans, or it could have a bad affect to animals but no effect to humans.
