Why Is Abortion Wrong

Is choosing abortion the right or the wrong path for your unborn child? For that matter, is abortion the right choice for the mother? According to Google definitions, abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. In the 1800’s abortion was illegal, but, as time has passed, it has been declared legal in the late 1900’s. Abortion is, and always has been, a complex topic with many varying viewpoints. Combining personal research with personal opinion, I am of the mindset that abortion is wrong; terminating a healthy fetus is a travesty, especially since there are so many couples that want children, but are unable. It is inhumane to abort a perfectly healthy fetus. …show more content…
Thank goodness. To illustrate, there are approximately 1.21 million abortions in America every year. That’s about 40%. Most women who choose abortion are usually between the ages of 15 and 44. Rates indicate that too many women have abortions, killing the tiny human(s) inside them. As you can see, abortion should never be an alternative to more humane methods of birth control. Murder, which is what abortion is, is strictly against the law. For example, if you kill someone, you go to jail because it’s illegal. How is abortion any different? It’s taking the life of an unborn child, an innocent little child. It’s pure murder. If someone were to kill a baby after it came out of the womb they would be charged with murder. It shouldn’t be different for a baby that would eventually come out. In my opinion, abortion should be considered murder. Alternately, there are people who argue that abortions should be permissible. For instance, when a woman has been raped or if their age (either too old or too young) becomes a hardship. Many young girls receive abortions because they’re not ready to take on the huge responsibilities or commitments of

In the U.S. there are about three of ten people getting abortions. I feel like that is too many people killing other innocent people that never got a chance. If you do not want to have a baby, you can still give birth, then put it up for adoption, so they have a chance to live. In the U. S. there are only six abortion clinics in Mississippi, Kentucky, West Virginia, North and South Dakota and…

In my own views of abortion I think that abortion is taking an innocent humans life. It really doesn't matter if he or she is not born yet. They are developing to have their own life's, to grow, not to be killed. Killing a baby that is not yet born is taking their own rights. It is easy for someone to take it away because the baby cannot fight for it.…

We shouldn’t have to debate about whether this is legal or illegal, because chances are some women have good reasoning for aborting a fetus. I claim that abortion in some circumstances is not wrong. Abortion is anti-choice, because it contradicts the basic fundamentals of human life. That fetus who would later become a baby is an innocent being. A child should not be terminated, because the person that conceived it was irresponsible.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

Abortions is the termination of a pregnancy. More women are getting them, because of health reasons or something went wrong with the baby. I don’t not applaud abortions, although you do have a choice, but why get pregnant if you know that’s not something you want. Most women regret having it done because they realize they took a life who didn’t ask to be here. If there is no known health problems with you or your child or anything stopping you from keeping your child why would you kill it?…

Abortion is a procedure that has caused great controversy across the world. More than 40% of women end their pregnancy by having an abortion. This has divided the world into two sides: “Pro-Life”, believing that having an abortion is an ‘inhumane action’ and “Pro-Choice”, believing that this ‘is a right for women’. While women have their own voice to stand up for them, who is standing up for the human being growing inside of her? Pro-Life should be the only choice because abortion is an ‘inhumane action’ that allows women to abuse their freedom of speech.…

Abortion is used by several different individuals such as teenagers, rape victims, or even mothers in financial problems, but not matter the person should it be legal and do we give them an easy way out with Planned Parenthood? It’s easy to look at the mother’s side of the argument in this debate, but who is considering the baby’s side? If a person is more informed on this topic it would help them better understand the controversy, and know the reasoning behind both points of views. The best comparisoin to abortion that I have read was in “Abortion, Opposing Viewpoint,” and it said “Just as the Jewsih Holocaust in Nazi Germany was legal but morally wrong, abortions are legal but not moral.…

Nurses are first hand witnesses to the travesty of abortion, and these stories are finally being shared. A nurse from Jacksonville, Florida, witnessed the murder of an infant and the heartlessness of people. Her story began with a saline abortion. A saline abortion is where the doctors inject saline into the amniotic fluid that the baby is surrounded by in the second trimester. This baby was born with burned skin as though she had been splashed with boiling water, crying out in pain, but no one to comfort her.…
