Abortion is a choice… a choice to kill... my opinion on abortion is that it is murder because they are killing another human being. Here are some facts about abortion, every human being is a person and when they get a abortion they are killing innocent people, less than 1% of all abortions are performed to save the life of the mother… since every abortion kills an innocent human being it is morally abhorrent to use the rare cases when abortion is necessary to save the life of the mother as justification for the millions of on demand convenience abortions. Some people feel that abortion is not murder, but there are studies shown that abortion is murder. Many argue abortion is wrong because it is believed life is created upon conception and the woman is morally obligated to give birth to the child otherwise it would be murder. The woman was responsible for the act of conception and must accept responsibility for the consequences of her actions, regardless of any long-term effects it will have on her. However if thinking that the fetus cannot live separately from the mother within the first trimester and can be considered her body. Then it wouldn’t be murder to remove a foreign body from her body.…

Worldwide, approximately 42 million abortions occur per year that’s approximately 115,000 per day. In the United States, 1.21 million abortions occurred in the year of 2005, which roughly comes out to be 3 per day (4). Moreover, 1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest, 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems with either the mother or the child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (4). Ending an unborn baby’s life is not constituted by choice—no, it’s constituted by deliberate murder. First and foremost, slaughtering an unborn baby via abortion is wrong because an unborn baby is still biologically considered a human being.…

Abortion is a touchy issue. Many say it is okay, others are totally against it, and some think it’s acceptable, depending of the circumstances. In my opinion, it’s wrong and not at all necessary, unless in the case of pregnancy, the mother is informed she will perish during the pregnancy term. Science continues to say a fetus is only a small “lump of tissue” but it isn’t, it’s human, it is a life. We are taught, “You shall not murder,” yet there are about 100, 000 lives aborted yearly.…

According to the 2012 Merriam-Webster dictionary, an abortion is, “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus as a spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation--miscarriage, the induced expulsion of a human fetus, or the expulsion of a fetus by a domestic animal often due to infection at any time before completion of pregnancy.” (Elliot) Abortions; like every controversial issue, will most likely never be agreed upon by the human race. In the midst of the controversy, two groups have arose.…

Some feel that abortion goes against their morals and religious beliefs. Others strongly believe that abortion is a woman’s right to decide. Personally, I believe it is a woman’s choice, because they know what is best for them. This debate between being for or against abortion has been going on since Roe won the Roe v. Wade case in 1973. Abortion has been around for quit sometime now, and its support is only getting stronger. Advocates of abortion emphasize one’s ability to have the choice of whether that person wants to keep the baby or not. They believe that the person that was conceived is technically not a human being yet, and is a person once the mother has given birth to the child. Because they believe that the person they are aborting is not a human, it is then okay to end its life. They make arguments such as having the option of abortion will help victims of rape, incest, or if the person is just not ready to have a child.…
