8“I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”
Verse six sets up the contrast that runs throughout “The Rise of the Little Horn”; namely, Christ or Antichrist — the Righteous Judge or the unrighteous imposter. Those are the choices. The widow (Israel) turns to The Antichrist for protection against her opponent, but will soon be betrayed when her “protector” becomes her new “opponent”. At that time, Israel will be left with only one advocate, her ex-Husband (God). What a awesome picture this is. Israel is a widow because she has played the harlot. Jerimiah 3:8 says:
“I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed …show more content…
(Luke 18:8) This is one of those rhetorical statements framed as a question. It is a call for perseverance; even in the face of death. Will He find faith? Within the secular state of Israel, the answer is...NO!. The “Israel” that makes the deal with The Antichrist is not the Israel of God. Recall again Isaiah 28:15 which describes the nature of this covenant with the secular state of Israel:
“We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”
Yet a godly remnant will be super-naturally protected by God to enter Christ’s millennium, where they will reign with Christ on earth for 1000 years. This remnant is The Nation of Israel of God. Believers from Gentile nations that persecuted Israel and who live until Christ’s return, will also enter The Millennium and go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord of Hosts — Jesus Christ — who will reign from Jerusalem.
