Leadership…it’s an important trait every successful CEO should have. A great leader can inspire their employees and influence them to achieve better results in the workplace. Work environments that have strong leadership will find it trickles down to every area of the business. The better the leadership is, the more high quality work is produced. You know that leadership is important as a CEO. But how does one lead the way to wellness, without using the same rehashed ideas? Out With The Old

To get the most out of any wellness program, you should find effective ways to reinvent old ideas. The world is changing at a rapid rate, and that even includes how long people have to pay attention. According to a study by Microsoft Corp., people now lose concentration after eight seconds. That’s actually a second less than a goldfish, whose attention span is only nine seconds. It’s almost depressing to think about. But lucky for you, you are the CEO who will forge through this problem. It just means you need to get clever with how you distribute information to your employees, especially when it comes to wellness.

You’ve probably done all of the right things. You set up your wellness meetings and passed around health information pamphlets to your employees. But unfortunately, they just don’t seem interested. Here’s the thing, most people don’t want to have long drawn out discussions about health. When was the last time you shot the breeze with a group of friends, just discussing health? It’s not exactly an icebreaker. This is why you must find ways to make wellness fun, or at least easier to digest, if you want your employees to stay committed to the wellness program.
