Why Instructors Should Ask Students To Turn Their Cell Phones In Class

Decent Essays
I’ve considered three things about why Instructors ask students to turn off their cell phones in class. One being it’s very distracting to everyone in the classroom. It will take away everyone’s attention from the instructor and put the attention on the person’s ringing phone. Second, it can be a temptation for someone to cheat. The internet is filled with answers to so many different questions. If you can’t find it on the internet I’m sure someone on a social media site can get the answer for you. Third, it’s just rude to have a cell phone out during class. It tells the instructor that your phone is more important than what they are teaching.

Many students use cell phones in class because they are addicted to their phones. People are addicted
