In medical field, there are a lot that can contribute to an inaccurate vital sign reading. Some of the reason are not knowing the right way to take vital sign or not following the right procedure. Also, if we are told to take patients pulse and we didn't do it right it can lead to the false reading. Errors could be introduced by the medical assistant using the wrong-sides of the cuff. If a blood pressure cuff that is too large will give falsely low readings, while an overly small cuff will provide readings that are falsely high. To reduce errors when talking vital signs we as MA should be more attentive to our patient and procedure to get an accurate vital sign. We should also ask from help another MA if we didn't heard the blood pressure
