Why I would like to become a Child and Youth Worker
During my younger years and now, you could always find me helping mothers with their babies or playing with younger kids. I have always enjoyed the presence of children and the joy that their smiles bring to me. I believe I would be a great child and youth worker because of my passion to help improve children’s lives, to make sure the youth stay out of trouble and to let all of them know that someone is there for them.
To begin with, I have always loved children. Since a very young age I have always said that I wanted to have many kids and I still do. I discovered my love for children when I was a lunch supervisor in kindergarten classes for three years in a row in elementary school. I enjoyed helping them and making

During my high school experience, I had been abandoned by my old friends and every day I would feel very lonely and sad. I felt too shy to talk to someone about it so I kept all my feelings to myself. I do not want the future generations to feel the same feelings I once had. One of my major goals when I become a child and youth worker will be to advise all of the students that there is someone there to talk about their problems and to help with them. I would let them know that there is no judging and no problem or concern is silly. Another one of my goals is to be a child and youth worker in an elementary school or high school. My last goal, is to have a lasting impression on all the employers from my future placements as a college student. Also, during my placement I want to have a very large positive impact on every child I have the opportunity to work with. I want to work in schools because I believe it is where most of the children and youth struggle. I believe with my patience, my positive attitude, my reliability and my nurturing personality, it will surely allow me to be an asset to any
