Why I Want To Pursue My Scholarship

When I was three and my brother five years old he went to preschool. There he took English lessons and learned various words and phrases which I’d review right after he’d come home. There and then, I believe, my hopefully long road of education started. I recall myself knowing the English alphabet by heart although not truly knowing its significance. Furthermore, I recall having a “Cinderella” book which then was huge and when I’d sit on the floor and put it on my lap: it completely covered my legs. Honestly, I didn’t know how to read thus I’d totally make up the story based on the pictures. Back then my goal was to learn how to read that book and growing up I came to make a loads of other goals and reach almost all of them, face challenges, work diligently and overcome difficulties on my own and that, I suppose, makes me worthy of the scholarship. Here I am, 15 years after inventing my version of Cinderella, trying to shape my own story of success. These years have definitely been a rollercoaster for me. I’ve had my times of struggle: when I just couldn’t understand a science assignment, when I felt overwhelmed with all the responsibilities I took or when my dearest people didn’t believe in me. With my confidence and determination I aspire to become a fully independent woman and achieve everything I aim on my own. I intend to educate myself as well as provide my contribution, especially on the issues of gender inequality and children abuse. Moreover, I want to be part of the educational system both as a student and as a teacher.
