Why I Want To Pursue My College

From the time I was young and started to attend preschool, all I heard about in the fall was college football games. Always being asked if I was a Michigan or Michigan State fan. I had no idea what all this meant as I had moved from England to Grand Blanc Michigan without being raised in front of the television on a Saturday afternoon supporting my families favorite college. As I grew up I was drawn to the exhilarating spirit of the Wolverines. Hearing Alumni talk about how great their experience was at the University of Michigan it made me strive to earn my diploma as a Wolverine.
As I started High School I tried to tell myself it would be a breeze. It wasn't, I struggled a lot. I felt like I could never achieve to academic standards that my future dream school would want from me. As I entered my senior year of high school and saw how awful my GPA was compared to my peers I decided to work harder than I have had before. Currently I have an all A, B grade book and I couldn't be prouder of myself. I’m striving to keep my grades this way for the rest of my senior year and continue this hard work into my college education.

I grew up at my dance studio and formed many bonds with the girls I danced with. As I started my freshman year the owner of the studio gave me the opportunity to teach the little classes. I taught girls ages 4-6 my first year. This gave me a great deal of responsibility because the care of girls was put into my custody. It felt very satisfying to pass on the knowledge of dance to another generation. This is now my final year dancing and teaching. I am enrolled in multiple dance classes and teach five classes of girls ages 2-13. I could not have imagined growing up without my dance

She was an excellent teacher and she was very loving but also very strict. The dance schedule was just as important as the school schedule to her which meant that is how important it was to us dancers. The week before a show was called drill week, we would dance roughly fifty hours that week because the dances needed to be perfect. This kind of determination and commitment was contagious, it has stayed with me even though I have not had a drill week in four years. This determination affects my school work now, I can spend hours studying and I will not stop until I feel I am prepared and I attribute that determination to…
