I am a son of divorced parents. My biological father is not available to me emotionally or financially. My mother emigrated to US in 2003, and my uncle raised me. When I finished high school, I wanted to continue education in the US, but I didn't have enough resources. After high school, I took different jobs to save money for university education. It took more than four years to save enough money for my way to US. Work experience offered me various benefits. While understanding the value of money, it also helped me to develop an identity; In learning to manage finances, I gained a tangible measure of independence.
One year and three months ago I came to the United States. When I landed, my heart started beating too fast. I saw the world in a way I had never seen before. The transition has presented me multiple opportunities and I became wildly optimistic about many things. I am surprised how an environment can affect a person. Winds of change are blowing in my life, in my very self. New blood and ideas are flowing in my body. I became more energetic, more ambitious, more open-minded, more passionate. In college, an exam came up, and one of my classmates said that he was going to study four hours to prepare for it. "this exam," he said,"is worth four hours to study." I found his judgment very odd. My approach is to study as much as necessary until I know the subject, and then study some more just to be sure. It is the approach I apply to everything. For me there is no such thing as
