Why I Want To Pursue A Career In Forensic Science

Have you ever seen the suspenseful crime movies, or CSI T.V shows? If these interest you, you can be a part of these crime scene investigations by pursuing a career in forensic science. After comparing Texas State, Sam Houston State, and Texas A&M based of off my criteria of location, tuition cost, and acceptance rate, Texas State would be the best choice in pursuing a career in forensic science. Receiving a degree in forensic science doe take a bit of time, but it provides a good income and future. The profession i have chosen to pursue in the future is forensic science. In this profession like i mentioned in the introduction you can see what this profession is all about by watching certain T.V. shows or movies. Although these T.V shows and movies tell a little bit of what a forensic scientist does for a living but only talks about the things that people will find interesting. Between the 3 other universities and Texas State, Texas state was the best choice because of their close location to my home, the acceptance rate, and the cost of tuition. I also chose this university because i have been wanting to attend this university ever since i talked to a representative from Texas State. When he told me about the university, he told me about the tradition, the community around the university, and overall about how the students enjoyed attending this university. Overall the things i have found out while researching and what i have been told about this University is pretty much what led me into making my decision in choosing this college to pursue my career in forensic science. In conclusion, forensic science is definitely a career I want to pursue in the future. This is because being a forensic scientist is a job that provides great benefits, great pay, and is a job lots of people have fun
