Why I Want To Pursue A Career In Special Education

Through special education programs, the schooling systems are able to provide the appropriate assistance for students who are physically, mentally, socially, and/or emotionally delayed. Within the educational realm, delayed is referred to any scholastic, physical, or cognitive skill that hinders a child from typically developing over time.

The career I have chosen is becoming a special education teacher. I have chosen this career field because I want to provide children with special needs an invigorating education experience. I hope to nurture children and strive to meet their emergent educational needs as an educator. Although, these children are delayed, my goal is to teach young children to become competent within all five domains as much
