Why I Want To Pursue A Career In Healthcare

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always dreamed about working in healthcare and being able to fulfill the needs of sick patients and their families. Growing up as a child my career objective was to go to college, obtain my M.D and become a pediatrician and being able to give back to the community. As a child, I have always craved the idea as being a clinician I can promote social, physical and, the mental well-being of children and their families in the community. Obtaining my degree will impact my role in the clinical aspect of healthcare by having the ability to reach out to children and families not simply in the community I work in but all over the world. Growing up I have been described as “benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity” to further simplify which means society’s kind teacher. I could also describe myself as a compassionate, knowledgeable person that believes that in my career I should do my best to reach out all over the world and advocate to fortunate and unfortunate children and address the needs of them and their families. I have love for education and learning about new things everyday so the ability in me obtaining my degree allows me to impact healthcare by pushing community work and care. I want individuals across the world to know that there’s a mission in being able to care for everyone and there’s open doors for everyone.
