• Organizational skills have allowed me to outline goals for the school year, plan and prepare daily schedules and develop lesson plans. Being organized has also allowed me to maintain an environment for routine and structure, which has been very beneficial to students with learning disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills have allowed me to engage and motivate my students to learn easily. These skills have also helped me to build strong relationships with my students that allow me to engage more directly with them. Moreover, this area of strength has allowed me to communicate in a straightforward manner with parents who may have concerns or questions or many need help during class activities.

I have never experienced firsthand what it is like to be homeless, hungry or abused. These are the types of populations I may have a difficult time identifying with. I cannot say, “I know what you are going through”, because, really, I do not. I can certainly empathize, but I cannot honestly relate to these situations, and I struggle with this. These are children, adolescents, and teenagers that have been exposed to such unfortunate situations, and I want to know I can truly be there for them and offer them the guidance and support they desperately
