Why I Want To Obtain A Scholarship Essay

From a young age, I determined to pursue a higher education in order to better myself and my community. Throughout my high school career, I have worked hard to excel in all aspects; academically as well as in extracurriculars. Understanding that college poses a large financial burden I have taken up all opportunities to eliminate debt. If I were to receive your scholarship, I would be grateful as I put it towards my life-long dream. With this award, I would be less susceptible to earning a large debt from a single year of an education. Throughout my family, many did not pursue college due to the intimidating costs. I have prepared myself for college level courses through Advanced Placement and Running Start classes. Along with a rigorous course load, I have taken on new experiences through my extracurricular opportunities.
