Why I Want To Graduate And Attend College

I am a seventeen year old senior in High School planning to graduate and attend a Four-year University. Why do I want to further my education? There is a strong but easy answer to that question. To start off, I know there are many teenagers my age that don’t see college in their future life, it’s more like they’re forced to attend college. For me, it’s different. I see myself going to college because it’s what i truly want. I want to continue pushing myself no matter what obstacle, because i want to succeed. I want to be someone in life, and to do that I have to first figure out who exactly i want to be.
My plan is to major in Elementary Education or Human Development, I am interested in these majors because I love working with kids and helping others better themselves. Which brings me back to why I would like to further my education. I want to do what I love to do without having to worry about my educational background and if I graduated High School or not. Once I graduate High School and then graduate the University I will be educated enough to get a high paying job and to have access to things others aren’t able to. With a High School diploma I am allowed to get better jobs than a lot of people who did not reach that level of education. With the experiences and lessons I have learned, I will be a great influence to others. Based on the difficulties I have struggled because of my background I have gained motivation to succeed in life, and getting this scholarship would be a part of that process. My family is low income and only my Step dad works in my household which means I will mostly depend on financial aid and scholarships to pay off my college tuition.
