Throughout our teenage years, many teens are pressured to choose how their future will go. A very large piece of this choice is what college they will go to, or if they will go at all. This decision has many pros and cons to each side of the decision. I want to go to college because a degree will help make more money, it will make me smarter, and give me necessary skills I need to join a field of work. A reason I want to go to college is so I can get the necessary skills to join whatever career field I may want to work in when I’m older. College is the perfect opportunity to learn whatever you want, or whatever you may need to for work. If someone wants to work in forensics they have to go to college, but if someone wants to work at McDonalds they don’t. This is why college is important.

Huffington post says that “Young adults with just a high-school diploma earned 62 percent of the typical salary of college graduates.” Only making $0.62 for every dollar I could have made if I had gone to college is a lot of lost sense. This is my second reason for going to college.
My third reason for choosing to go to college is to increase my intelligence. The average high school graduate has an IQ of 92.18, while the average college student has an IQ of 100.54. That is a gap of over 8 points chosen by whether or not someone can go to college to make more money, have a better job, and have a higher IQ
