Why I Want To Go Back To School

The summer was always my favorite time. My thoughts on summer are that you are supposed to be so excited to have it. Once you get it you get so bored by the end of the summer that you want to go back to school. Sure there are the fun activities and a vacation, but even then by the end you want to go back to school. I do not remember the summers from elementary school very well. I do know that every year since the third grade I go to my grandmother’s house in Tennessee for at least a week. When my grandmother remarried she moved to Chattanooga Tennessee to live with my Grandpa Jerry. Grandpa Jerry’s property has many acres on it. The have a nice small house in the middle of a wooded area, so there was a lot of room to go and play. When I am there I sometimes help with work around the property. My grandma doesn't work anymore so she spends her free time outdoors making trails and getting rid of dead tree limbs. I would always drive the small tractor around that has a wheelbarrow thing attached to the end. I would go through the trails and collect fallen limbs and sticks. It was very boring. The book is called A Mystery In the Deep Forest. The book is only about a hundred pages long and it is made up of bedtime stories from when I was little. We wrote it through email when he was in some foreign country. The book takes place in Fort Mountain. I did not know at the time, but Fort Mountain is a real place. One summer my papa picked me up from my grandmother’s and we visited Fort Mountain on the way back to his house. We drove up most of the way and then we walked around and explored the rest of it. It was so amazing and thrilling to see the place those stories and the book took place at. Going back through the book I have such a better picture of how everything took
