Why I Want To Become Anesthesiologist

Ever since I was a little girl, my parents instilled the importance of obtaining an education; therefore, every day I would go to school with the primary focus of making them proud. What I came to realize as I got older was that school is not just about getting good grades; more than that, though, it is about learning and being able to implement all my knowledge throughout the course of my daily life. The experiences I have endured throughout my years in high school have been the most crucial in the sense of allowing me to feel for what it is that I am most interested in. My extracurricular activities have helped me branch out and explore what path I want to pursue. In the midst of all these activities, I have found my true calling-- to become an anesthesiologist. I have acquired my essential writing, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills through my high school's dance team, UIL Journalism Club, and the Science Club. I did not acquire these skills from one day to another; however, being a part of these extracurricular activities essentially provided me with the sufficient amount of practice and execution of these fundamental qualities. …show more content…
As a freshman, being a part of the Silver Steppers dance team allowed me to interact with a diverse group of girls that shared the same passion as me. Through arduous competition practices and innumerable events attended, we saw each other more than we saw our own families. Being that the team comprised of forty girls, I was able to develop efficient communication skills. Working with them was not always a breath of fresh air, but we managed to successfully work together to achieve our ultimate goal - the Grand National Champion Title.
