At a young age my parents took me to London and Newcastle for a week’s summer vacation, and I immediately fell in love with the culture, language, and country. When I got a bit older I became determined that I would one day attend a University in the UK. Throughout my school years in Norway I worked hard with this in mind, and thus achieved my goal. In October 2011 I get accepted into the University of Essex where I studied Psychology.
After a completed year of psychology studies, I realised the career I really desired was one that I had wished for since I was 8 years old; working with animals. However, I do not think of my year of psychology as a waste, but rather as an advantage. It thought me a great deal about the underlying causes and theories about human behaviour and interaction, which I believe will help me greatly when I become a veterinarian. Being a veterinarian is not only about helping injured and sick animals, it is also important to have a good relationship with the owners, and being able to communicate with them in the best way possible.
With my new goal of turning my wishes into reality, I have studied hard to be able to become a veterinarian. Since September of 2013 I have attended Aberystwyth University Where I have studied Animal Science. A few of the topics that I have found the most …show more content…
After I left the University of Essex I worked in several customer service-based stores to save up money for further education. It gave me great experience in being attentive and helpful to people of different temper in various situations. I have travelled to various different parts of Europe, and I have lived in Norway, England, Wales, and USA. I believe this has given me a great understanding of both big and minor differences in cultures and societies, and I have confidence that this is a great advantage to me when it comes to understanding and acknowledging differences in human
