Why I Want To Become A Teacher?

Every time I hear the question, “Why do you want to become a teacher?” The first thing that pops into my head is a visual of me when I was eight years old around the tree on Christmas Eve. All I can picture is my brother shaking his presents while deciding which one he should open, and I see myself sitting next to one small box in the corner. Thinking back now, I knew exactly what was in that box. I only asked for one thing that Christmas, and I knew my mom and dad had to have gotten it for me. I slowly open the gift unsure whether or not, I was going to like this present. As I peeked into the box, my jaw opened wide, it was exactly what I had wanted this Christmas. Throughout my whole life my teachers have been some of my best role models. Every year I was able to meet someone new that connected with me and had so much passion in teaching me new things. Every year I met a new teacher that inspired me to follow my dreams. Every year was something new, someone knew, and something that was unexpected. Being a teacher gives you so many opportunities. You have the capability to inspire an individual, change a student, help a student, and be a student’s foundation. Each year starts over. Each year gives you the new opportunity to make an impact on another group of individuals lives. One of the greatest things about being a teacher is you are able to lead a group of students and teach them skills that they will use throughout their whole lives. Another great reason to be a teacher is that you get to inspire each one of your students every single day. Every day you are able to help your students become the person they want to be and help them reach their dreams. Personally, no amount of money is better than seeing your students succeed in life and come back to you several years later to thank
