Why I Want To Become A Racist

Sometimes in life it just takes the influence of one person to help you see yourself in a whole new light. For me that person is my high school math teacher Mr. Raymond Kreiser. I had him for both calculus and probability and statistics. I not only respect him as a teacher but also as a person. He has pushed me to be the best student possible. He has prepared me for college and pushed me to pursue the career of my dreams. He also helped me gain confidence within myself. I plan on majoring in either biology or biochemistry in hopes of eventually going to graduate school to become a veterinarian. I have done a lot of job shadowing and volunteering to figure out I want to pursue a career in the medical field. I volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital in the operating room over the summer. …show more content…
I also love volunteering within the community. Every year I help with a walk that supports kids with Angelman Syndrome. I also help clean up the Quittapahilla Creek when bad storms hit the town, and I coach youth basketball and field hockey. I have always had a passion for school and I am very involved. I played both varsity field hockey and varsity basketball since my freshman year. I am also the class secretary and I help coordinate things like prom, fundraisers, graduation, etc. I love working and saving money. I worked as a waitress for three years, which helped me develop social skills. I now work at the Children’s Place so I can interact with kids and have fun while I am working. I love spending my free time with my family and doing fun activities with them. My goal in life is to be able to help people or animals who are helpless. A lot of people go to college for careers that make substantial incomes, but I want a meaningful career where I can make a difference in peoples’ lives. This makes me more and more excited to attend college

I want to be a part of the NSF-REU program because I know I would make a great contribution. In an informal research project for my biology lab course, I led a team of four in a time-crunched, self-created lab. I took up the role of leadership, assigned tasks, organized meetings and worked outside of class hours to complete the testing. Taking charge wasn’t always easy for me but, at the College of Saint Benedict, there is a NSF S-STEM scholarship program called FoCuS. The program provides mentorship, leadership training and academic opportunities to students with a heavy interest in the sciences.…

Having this passion for the town helped with my decision to apply to Whitewater University and could not be a better fit for my future career. If admitted to your university, I am convinced that I will be able to bring excellent communication skills, background with volunteer service, a strong work ethic and leadership experience through the multiple clubs I engage in both in and out of school, my sports activities, and my participation with my local church.…

For every decision one makes they have a person or an event to accredit as to why they were influenced to make that decision. Previously, I watched shows like Greys Anatomy and envisioned myself saving one’s life as a doctor myself someday. Sometimes what we want in life though is not what we need. The class senior forum helped open my eyes to this realization through a job shadow within that career pathway. I found that working with needles just was not for me.…

Witnessing the way those nurses attended my mother triggered my desire to one day become just as them. through them I realized how much I would enjoy having the ability to care for others especially my family.…

My Dream: I was around 20 years old and living in New York City, just coming back from work. I don’t remember precisely what I did as a job, but I saw myself walking out of the hospital and coming back home to a tiny apartment in the middle of the city. The scene shifted to the next morning when I was traveling to Atlanta to see my family, but I found out that my sister had passed away and my parents never told me. She had gotten into a car accident the day before and I came at the worst time. I went to her funeral and all I remember is crying and reading a…

It is said that you find your way while you are in college, but I actually lost mine, and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. When I was four years old, I decided that I wanted to be a doctor and everything I did from that day forward was geared towards enhancing myself to be the best physician I could be. After my first year of my undergraduate degree at Michigan State University however, I was terrified to find that science and medicine did not hold the same draw for me as it always had. I found myself with the same passion for changing people’s lives, minus the desire for treating illnesses and researching medical conditions.…
