I Want To Pursue Nursing Degree

For years I have embraced a secret desire to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor; but over the years and locking support and guidance from my parents; I decided to pursue my nursing degree. Little did I know that my desire would become just that. I was born and race in Managua, Nicaragua one of the biggest country in Central America. My mother brought me to the United States at the age of 14yrs old. Having to see day after day my oldest sisters and my Mom coming from work feeling tired and underpaid. Inspired me to want more than what we had; their struggles made me realize the importance of education and pursuing my dreams for a better life.

I actually feel excited and sense of relief is overcome me. Looking forward to next chapter, next lesson what is needed, it all sounds and seems much better. It all started listening to K-Love radio station announcing a$1000.00 scholarship for Colorado Christian University. I made up my mind and registered for the drawing. Within minutes I received a call from an advisor, it was enlightening. She asked when and what happened. We shared our experiences, encouraged me to apply; committed to help me and guide me along the way. All of which has made a difference this time.
Realizing this may all be new to me, I find myself looking forward to the opportunity, open minded to any little bumps ahead, I am reassured knowing it makes a difference having someone, caring, none judgmental, willing to guide me and support me through the process; advising me along the way.
Throughout the years; I managed to stay positive through my ups and downs in life, failures may break you if you allowed them to. I feel they helped become stronger. I am ready for this new challenge; for the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. In spite of it all grateful for the next steps that will take me to that next level in
