In an attempt to empower their clients, social workers examine current legal policies and look for ways in which these policies can be adjusted to benefit communities as a whole. The beauty of the human services field is that it gives one the ability to address and find solutions to issues that hinder every area of the human life. I am constantly …show more content…
They say experience is the best teacher and based on my experience I can confidently say that I wish to pursue a career in child welfare. I want a profession in this field because I know that there are many children in this world who lack the esteem, tangible, emotional and informational support that is necessary to live comfortably and I want to be able to help them make profound and lasting changes. It is essential that we protect and guide our future leaders and ensure that they have access to the resources that are necessary to lead a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. It is a dream of mine to work alongside others like myself who aspire to work with families to ensure that the educational, emotional and financial needs of children are met. My ultimate goal is to create a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting our children. I plan to establish positive relationships with my clients and do anything in my power to ensure that road blocks brought about by marginalization are addressed and eliminated in their favor. I plan to advocate for children who are abused and look to reinstate policies that safeguard them. I want to become a social worker because I want a career that has meaning and I want my work to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the
