Why I Want To Be Organized

Decent Essays
Great post! I am a sequence, precision, confluence in use first and technical reasoning as use as needed. I love to be organized because I to find that being organized helps to make life a lot easier and functional. Unlike Samantha I am not frazzled by unplanned events, I roll with the punches I like at these moments as a learning opportunity and a fun way to shake things up and to keep me on my toes. Making my life choices that much more understandable being a pre-school teacher my days are filled with change, tears, laughs and giggles. I think if I had another job involving an office job I would be more structured and more prone to staying on a routine.

I believe that there is a present stereotype that becoming familiar with time management and organization requires an individual to set self-restraining routine to complete daily tasks. As a result, this causes them to give up the finer things. This presumption alone could prompt someone to consider that highly organized people are uninteresting, uptight, “neat-freaks” who are always striving to be perfect in everything they do and are too preoccupied to pay attention to anything else. However, I have to disagree. I see getting rid of spontaneity and acquiring these abilities as a stepping stone towards a more productive and enjoyable life.…

There is no science to my madness; I keep it simple when it comes to organizing my day, or reminding me of an appointment. My calendar app on my phone is the only way I keep up with my busy schedule. When adding to my calendar I make sure I have a brief description that reminds me of what I have to accomplish. Usually, for appointments I have scheduled I set a reminder for that morning to inform me about upcoming appointments for that day, so I am better aware of my day. As I mentioned in my introduction, I am a Dental Assistant in the Army, and I see multiple patients on a daily basis.…

Organizing my work area puts me in control. While waiting for the endorsement, I’d arrange the things I need during rounds, and I make sure that all the supplies necessary during medication administration is complete (plastic spoon, clear plastic cups, paper cups, water for drinking, tissue paper, and make sure that the portable battery powered medication crusher is working and appropriately charged). And before my shift ends, I’d clean the work area, and load the supply for next shift’s use. If I’d do the restocking, the nurse following me will most likely model the…

I came to the confirmed realisation that medicine was the right choice for me after I organised work experiences at places ranging from a hospital to a care home to a GP surgery. I experienced the diversity of being a doctor; not simply prescribing drugs or carrying out surgery but giving empathy, compassion and effective after-care that establishes a trustworthy doctor-patient relationship. I saw doctors communicating in challenging situations, such as treating patients suffering from severe depression due to terminal illnesses; sensitivity, integrity and communication were key for effective care. I learned how important the doctor - patient relationship is and that patients need treatment in a holistic manner; a doctor's skills must be flexible…

Introduction A company needs to improve continuously to grow and many organizations strive to better themselves to gain an edge in the market. Although many companies try to improve continuously, they fail to achieve their motive because they are not committed to learning. When there is no significant learning in the company, they tend to repeat the old practices and the change in improvements are temporary or short-lived. In order to grow as a company, one needs to build a Learning Organization and the author David A. Garvin has written as for how every company can turn into a learning organization.…

Organization in the Workplace SirLinda A. Smith Argosy University As an Industrial Organizational psychologist it is extremely important to have a through understanding of how the workplace is structured and the responsibilities of the departments within. Depending on the size of the company the number of departments will vary, larger companies will have more departments than a smaller company. The size of the family would contribute to whether the senior level would decide to have in house support staff such as HR and IT departments or out source these areas. It would be more cost effective for a smaller company to use an outsource their IT department since they more than likely would not have the workload to warrant a full time status.…

Martin and Fellenz (2010) state that organisational behaviour is how organisations recognise and deal with the variability of human behaviour, and how this can, if utilised properly, be an advantage to an organisation. Aswathappa (2010) also mentions that each employee will have a different skill, whether it be a physical related skill or administrative skill. These skills need to be identified to gain maximum efficiency from employees which will have a knock on effect in productivity and the overall success of the organisation. Louis Peaucelle (2000) mentions that scientific organisation of works increases productivity with no extra cash injection needed for this process to happen successfully, this then lowers costs, which in turn leads…

Today’s topic is Organizational Structure and we would like to take a few minutes to illustrate its definition and list a few different types which are currently being deployed within the work place. Organizational Structure is the basic framework which house or describes the leadership structure of the organization and provides an illustration of the leadership hierarchy system. Without Organizational Structure there would be no way to understand the chain of command of the organization, its leadership formation, who the decision makers are within the organization or any formal responsibility areas as it pertains to the organization and its supervisory arrangement . Organizational Structure basically tells the story of who is in charge, what…
