There are many traits and qualities that are needed to be in an Honors class at Hillsborough High school. I believe I embody many of these attributes. Creative and analytical thinking enables me to apply math and logic to complex problems whether working independently or cooperatively. In addition to using primary sources such as textbooks, class notes, and handouts, searching out secondary sources on the internet or at the library helps me find solutions to school assignments and personal interests. Social Studies are a favorite interest, offering a glimpse into the present day world problems and the ancient cultures around the world. The study of learning how people live, work, and act together piques my attentiveness. I take joy in learning about societies on my own time by reading books and watching shows on the television. Books focusing on cultures from a long time ago or a great distance away are the ones I cherish the most. One of my favorite television shows is Lost, focusing on the interactions of a random group of people brought together on an island by a plane crash. …show more content…

My abilities in using sources and independent learning motivate me to overcome and succeed through these problems and tasks. The ways I have learned to solve problems and equations help me deal with assignments in school,as well as challenging tasks and problems outside of school.
