Why I Want To Be An NHS

It is truly an honor to be nominated for such a prestigious organization such as National Honors Society. I’ve been looking forward to receiving this nomination since the beginning of my freshman year. I was brought up in a family who was committed to the dedication of their community, workplace, and overall character. I pride myself upon my academics, extracurricular activities, and volunteer work. I’ve dedicated my time and effort into serving my community whether it was volunteering at local triathlons, donating money to those less fortunate, or even performing for the enjoyment of others. My work ethic and time management skills were developed at an early age, throughout my years of performing and are still relevant to this day. As a committed team member, I exuberate 100% of my efforts in not letting my team fall. I have a proven track record of being dependable in stressful situations. For example, in 2009, 2010 and 2012 I was given the opportunity to perform on live television in front of millions of viewers. My group that I was performing with was fueled off of my confidence and leadership skills to bring us all the way to the top 48 each show we completed. From kindergarten to present day, I’ve always strived to achieve academic excellence. I plan on continuing this trend throughout the rest of my academic career.
