An honors student is a student who is recognized for taking advanced classes and having excelling grades in school. I have made my choice to be an honors student for many reasons. First, I am always looking for a challenge that positively influences me. Next, I believe that I have the potential to be a prospering student in the honors program. Finally, I know that being an honors student will have a positive impact in the future. These the three main reasons why I have chosen to be a honors student. To begin, I made the choice to be an honors student because I know that it sets up a challenge for me. To illustrate, I believe that I certainly have more than enough potential to be in all the honors courses available. Moreover, it would be a waste of potential if I took classes below my level. Also, just laying back and taking college prep classes all school day would be too boring and easy for me. Lastly, I am improving my grade point average while taking honors classes. Therefore, being an honors student gives me a challenge and also gives me a positive impact for my future. …show more content…
A lot of students, including myself, make many friends in the classroom. I share many of the same classes as other honors students. A majority of those students, I have developed positive relationships with since my freshman year. Because honors classes are rather limited because of the requirements, I get to meet people who value education, just like myself. I believe that having well educated friends definitely shed positive influences towards me.
