They are also compassionate and multifaceted. Notwithstanding, having the characteristics needed to be a successful ER nurse, I lack in verbal communication skills. As a bilingual individual it has been difficult for me to maintain sufficient communication skills. ER nurses do not ordinarily work every day of the week. Some nurses work three or two days a week. There are different positions an ER nurse can become. Some examples are becoming manager, researcher, administrator or educator. The medical field will always continue to strive; therefore, ER nurses will continue to be needed in the future. Becoming an ER nurse requires obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or BSN. After getting my Bachelor’s degree I plan on taking the Emergency Nursing Certification exam. Dalton State College has an RN-BSN online program I am genuinely interested in participating
