Veterans give up many things for us. They give up their personal life, mental or physical health, and sometimes their job and family. They know that there is no promise they will come back home whole or alive, but they go to war for the country they love. It takes enormous amounts of patriotism and love to make a sacrifice like becoming a soldier for your country. We can worship whoever we want and go to church, and we can speak our mind and opinions as long as it does notharm anyone. Women can have any jobs and go to school, and we can be free to be ourselves as a society. On the other hand, we must remember our responsibilities as Americans and Christians. Just because we can do something doesn't mean we should. It is our duty to use freedom wisely to help others and the world. We also need to use our freedoms to give back to our soldiers and this is how I do it. I volunteer at GaitWay, a non-profit organization that helps mentally and physically disabled people, no matter the age, in place of less engaging and therapeutic physical therapy.
