To wake up one day and realize that I abhor the job to which I devoted an entire life was my greatest fear, until one experience. I closed my eyes and thought for a minute “Only three years ago, this girl came to America with no word of English and now I achieved even more than I expected.” I walked out of the elevator with my knees shaking. This was my first day of my internship at New York Economic Development Corporation. However, if somebody told me at that time that this job would change my life forever, I would just laugh.
As a high school student, I searched for the career that I would fall in love with for my entire life. With three generations of accountants my family, I had a feeling deep in my heart that I was born to have a business career. I pleasantly walked in the office showing all my confidence and boldness. To my surprise, I felt very comfortable in this business environment. After a couple days of the internship, I became even more self-assured. My supervisor took me to the meeting where I met with many different people. I

My supervisor gave me proposals to do for our international sponsors and told me that she had to leave for the conference in Chicago and could not help me with this task. For the first time they did not come out well. However, I did not give up. Staying a couple days after work hours definitely helped my work to be perfect. On the day of the meeting, I enjoyed seeing my work handed out to our sponsors. I felt proud of myself. I surprised my supervisor with my excellent

An internship is normally a work task a student completes after a series of classes to gain a degree in a particular field they think they’ll love, whether they still love it after they’ve completed that journey is based upon a multitude of criteria. Luckily, I have found that I quite enjoy fashion and working in retail throughout this internship at Dress Barn. Occasionally students find that what they thought they were getting into, is actually completely different than what they expected. Especially when reading about a profession on paper versus seeing it up closer in real life. When I started college, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study or achieve with my life.…

The ethical issues of racism are centered around the questions we mentioned in our presentation. Is it necessary to resolve racism, Is being racist morally forbidden, Is being racist advantageous. To explain the significance of each question I’ll start by examining the first question. The point to asking if it was necessary to resolve racism was to provoke discussion on whether or not racism is tolerable in society and if not why. This question could lead to confront possible steps in resolving racism and really just get people to talk about the subject instead of shrugging it off.…

As I walked into the small building, that in fact looked very enormous at the time, I began to anticipate every answer I would give to the person who interviewed me, so that to them, I would at least seem prepared. Although I had practiced my interviewing skills that very morning, I felt anxious and worried. Not knowing what to expect, many different scenarios ran through my mind, all of which weren't making my situation any better. Questions after questions were asked, all which seemed impossible for me to answer, and I felt as though I blew the whole thing. After the interview, many days passed by, and I had convinced myself that I did not get job.…

During my internship experience, I learned a lot of things that I thought I knew but are misconstrued on. With that being said, I know everything must be done in decent order or this will cause chaos and lead to confusion. I also learned everything takes patience and is very time- consuming. I became frustrated, so many times and just wanted to give up, but I had to remind myself that hard times are going to come and everything is going to work out. Many times I sat on my bed crying because it seems like everything piled on me at one time.…

My decision to return to college was purely random. There was no pondering over the decision; no weighing in the pros and cons, no thinking it through or any real thought behind it.
