1. Why do you want to be a Physician?

"Dedicate your life to a cause greater than yourself and your life will become a glorious romance and adventure." by Mack Douglas. When I glance at my life as a whole and think about what I want to do, the only thing that comes to mind is being a physician. I am fascinated about how the human body works, how it doesn't work, what are some complications the human body possess, the disease that may occur, and their treatment in respectively. Being a Physician will help me find a meanimg everyday in my life whether it is through a Gross Anatomy Lab, a patient encounter, or just simply diagnosing a disease/disorder. All of these situations are a constant reminder that being a Physician is directly linked to caring for others. My curious nature, love for learning medicine, and how it

I was able to do that working as a scribe at Texas Children Hospital. This job is not only tremendous learning experience, but actually made a difference by assisting doctors to be more efficient so they can focus more on the quality of care for their patient. Im regards to my work experience, I know what it feels like first hand making a difference in my community. Growing up in Mississippi, I have notice some ailments that presents itself being a health risk to society, which will result an increase in infant mortality and other detrimental risk. The challenges we face as a state is high prevalence of physical inactivity, low immunizations coverage amomg teens, and high prevalence of low birth weight. This results in my beleif in giving back and serving the undeserved communities. I want to become a Physician for the reason of many patients in underserved communities have little access to needed healthcare
