My top choice would be the Doctor of Allopathic Medicine (MD) which would require me to go to medical school. My second choice is very much like my first choice; Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Do), the only difference is that they put an emphasis on the musculoskeletal system. My third choice would Physician’s Assistant. This requires less training and schooling. Although PA’s does not have the major authority over patients, they can see, treat, and diagnose patients under the supervision of an MD. I have taken this career in to consideration because of the intense schooling that is required for medical school and there is less responsibility. One thing that I have considered about PA’s is the flexibility in their schedules because most doctors are always on call. My major would help me have a better understanding of what I would learn in Medical school or PA school.
