Why I Want To Be A Dietitian

Being a dietitian requires a person to know how to teach others to eat healthily, and properly. As a dietitian I would help others find what meals work best with their diets, and sometimes work with their budgets as well. Helping people with their meals not only includes healthy, but what they can eat because of mobility, and other issues they might have. (Truity Psychometrics LLC, 2012-2016) To become a dietitian in Virginia I need to complete a nutrition education program through Kaplan, then apply and complete and internship in Virginia. I will then have to complete the commission on dietetic registration exam, practice as a registered dietitian in Virginia. I would like to work from home to help better the lives of people around me, and let them see the joys of living a healthier life. I hope to continue in the food industry while I work towards my goal of becoming a dietitian, so that I might learn even more about foods best for you while I complete the steps required to becoming a registered dietitian in the state of Virginia. Kaplan University Career Services can help become a dietitian by helping me find places I might be able to intern under to becoming a dietitian, as well as finding me other dietitians' here in my location that might be will to help me out and show me the best way to become a dietitian. In five years I see myself interning under another dietitian, who can help me become more acquainted with the field. I will still be working on graduating at that time, but I want to be able to complete multiply steps at a time to help me get to a better spot in my finances.
