September 30, 2014 There are many different career paths and a variety of jobs for people to choose. Different people are suited for different jobs.The kind of job where children will always be afraid of me, and adults always respect me, and pay lots of money to visit me. Putting beautiful and healthy smiles on human faces are my main goals in my life. The main path and goal of my future is to become a dental hygienist. Dentistry is a career in healthcare that works in the mouth. Dentist hygienists are trained to diagnose, prevent, and treat various problems associated with teeth and mouth tissue. Unlike some other careers, dental hygienists also generally don’t have to work nights, weekends or holidays.The average annual wage for dental hygienists is$70,210 .The lowest 10 percent earned less than $46,540, and the top 10 percent earned more than $96,280. The anual salarry will change as you become more experienced and more profesional at what your doing. Some dental hygienists receive benefits, such as vacation, sick leave, and contributions to their retirement fund. However, benefits vary by employer and may be available only to full time workers.Employment of dental hygienists is expected to grow due to insurance availability. People who have dental service in their insurance is more likely to visit the dental clinic, it is very expensive to visit a doctor without having an dental plan in your insurance. High school level courses such as health, biology, psychology, chemistry, mathematics and speech will be beneficial in a dental hygiene career. Most programs show a preference for individuals who have completed at least one year of college. Some degree programs require that applicants complete two years of college prior to enrollment in the dental hygiene program.After graduating high school, I have had more time to realize why I have wanted to become a dentist hygienist. I had other goals towards the future when I was in high school,but some events that happened in my life forced me to change my career goals.I know for sure that I will be very happy after graduating college and become certified hygienist.
